Description
Stream Lifecycle Management ensures that streaming connections are properly finalized after use, preventing resource leaks (open sockets, unread response bodies). The pattern uses Python's context manager protocol (__enter__/ __exit__ for sync, __aenter__/ __aexit__ for async) to guarantee cleanup even if exceptions occur during stream consumption. The __exit__ method calls response.close() (sync) or response.aclose() (async) to release the underlying HTTP connection.
Usage
Always consume streaming responses within a with (sync) or async with (async) block. This ensures the HTTP connection is closed and resources are released regardless of how the stream processing terminates (normal completion, early break, or exception).
Theoretical Basis
